Osteopathic Manual Therapy
What is Osteopathic Manual Therapy?
Osteopathic Therapy is a hands-on, patient-centred approach to healthcare that focuses on how the body’s structure and function are interconnected. It aims to identify and treat restrictions in joints, muscles, fascia, and the nervous system that may be contributing to pain, dysfunction, or reduced mobility.
Using gentle manual techniques such as soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization, stretching, and myofascial release, osteopathic therapy supports the body’s natural ability to self-regulate and heal. Treatment is individualized and considers the whole person-posture, movement patterns, lifestyle, and past injury- rather than focusing solely on symptoms.
Osteopathic therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of concerns, including musculoskeletal pain, postural strain, headaches, and stress-related tension. The goal is to improve mobility, restore balance, reduce pain, and support long-term function and overall well-being.
